Tim Lankford, A.A.S., EMT-P/IC

Lankford picTim Lankford has 27 years of experience in the EMS field and presently serves as an EMS District Chief with the Nashville Fire Department. He also currently serves as an adjunct faculty member for the EMS Program of Volunteer State Community College.  Tim has been an educator for 14 years and has served in the capacity of training coordinator for a fire based EMS service as well as clinical and education coordinator for an emergency department.  His other educational interests include serving on the board of the Tennessee Emergency Medical Service Education Association,  American Heart Association Emergency Cardiac Committee member for the Tennessee region,  a Regional Director for International Trauma Life Support, and a member of the National Association of EMS Educators. Tim holds Regional Faculty appointments in the area of ACLS, PALS, and BLS.  He is a past Vice Chair of the Nashville Public Access Defibrillation Program and was instrumental in designing and implementing the CPR in Schools Program for the Metro Nashville Public School System.  He also presently serves on the Child Death Review Team for the city of Nashville.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Tennessee paramedic program and received an Associates Degree in Allied Health from Volunteer State Community College.  He has also completed the Critical Care Paramedic Program of University of Maryland at Baltimore County and has served as a coordinator for the program in the Nashville area.
